Oak Orthopedics plans $15.5M surgical center

Bradley, Ill.-based Oak Orthopedics presented plans for a $15.5 million surgical facility to the village of Bourbonnais, Ill., Aug. 3, Daily Journal reports.

Four things to know:

1. The 43,700-square-foot facility will include a medical clinic, a radiology suite and an ASC.

2. The surgery center will feature three “oversized operating rooms to accommodate the growing trend of outpatient total joints,” CEO Paige Cripe told the Daily Journal.

3. Construction is expected to begin in the fall, with the center set to open January 2022.

4. Oak Orthopedics is a 13-physician group that was acquired in March by Des Plaines-based Illinois Bone & Joint Institute.
