NorthShore opens spine center at Illinois hospital

The NorthShore Spine Center at Skokie (Ill.) Hospital is now open, according to an Aug. 4 news release.

Four things to know:

1. The center is part of the NorthShore Orthopaedic & Spine Institute, as operated by Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University HealthSystem.

2. The facility takes a multispecialty approach to treating complex spine conditions, including specialists in orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, anesthesia, and physical medicine and rehabilitation.

3. Treatment options include robotic surgery, motion preservation techniques and other minimally invasive approaches to spine surgery.

4. The health system also opened the Pain Center at Skokie Hospital, which uses interventional procedures to treat complex pain conditions.
