New York hospital introduces new radiation reduction technology for fluoroscopic procedures

Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Memorial Medical Center adapted ControlRad’s new Trace system into fluoroscopically-guided procedures.

Four things to know:

1. The Trace platform is designed to reduce radiation exposure for patients and staff.

2. Orthopedic surgeon Andrew Cappuccino, MD, performed the initial procedures with the technology at the hospital.

3. The ControlRad Trace device can be integrated into mobile C-arms in any fluoroscopically guided procedure.

4. Trace aims to decrease radiation exposure without sacrificing image quality in the region of interest and overall workflow.
