New York Hospital Implements New Protocol to Reduce Pain After Knee Surgery

A New York-based hospital has begun new protocol to reduce pain for orthopedic procedures, according to a North Country Now report.

Canton-Potsdam (N.Y.) Hospital now has a multimodal protocol for postoperative pain management after knee surgery. According to the report, the new protocol was developed by physicians, nurses and pharmacists to manage postoperative pain and side-effects. As a result, patients are able to become mobile quicker after surgery.
