Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health, the parent company of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, purchased the 50-acre property for $30 million. “We need the additional space to meet the growing demand [in northeastern Colorado Springs],” Brian Erling, president and CEO of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services, told Fox 21 News.
The location will expand into a full acute care hospital as needed, like the other two Colorado Springs locations. Penrose-St. Francis Health Services plan to break ground in 2020 and aims to see patients by 2022.
