Gila Regional Medical Center in Silver City, N.M., is adding Southwest Bone and Joint Institute to expand orthopedic services, according to a Dec. 19 report from The Grant County Beat.
SBJI, founded in 1999 by Brian Robinson, MD, provides orthopedic care including joint replacement, sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, orthopedic trauma and hand and ankle surgery.
Leadership at GRMC has reviewed the integration process with SBJI staff, which has been approved by the medical center’s board of trustees.
The transaction is expected to be finalized by Jan. 15, 2026, the report said.
