New Mexico hospital achieves spinal cord injury certification — 4 things to know

Las Cruces-based Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico attained The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for spinal cord injury certification, reports Las Cruces Sun News.

Four things to know:

1. The Gold Seal of Approval was awarded after RHSNM completed an unannounced onsite review in July.

2. The Joint Commission is an independent, nonprofit organization that accredits and certifies over 22,000 healthcare organizations in the U.S.

3. The hospital achieved compliance with certification standards as well as completing interviews and observations carried out by the commission.

4. RHSNM is a rehabilitation and long-term acute care hospital as part of Albuquerque, N.M.-based Ernest Health.
