New Brunswick, N.J.-based Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital earned its third consecutive Gold Seal of Approval for Disease-Specific Care Re-Certification in spine surgery from The Joint Commission, according to a July 16 news release.

The hospital recently underwent a rigorous onsite review and demonstrated ongoing compliance with standards related to clinical outcomes, patient education and program management. It offers advanced, minimally invasive spine surgeries using 3D imaging and spinal navigation to improve patient safety and recovery.

To qualify for the certification, hospitals must follow strict care protocols, adhere to clinical guidelines and meet performance metrics set by The Joint Commission.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
