Here are three takeaways:
1.The new facility will provide services for patients recovering from strokes, hip fractures, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations and other complex orthopedic conditions.
2. The $20.6 million facility will include 46 inpatient rooms, an in-house pharmacy and therapy gym. It is slated to open in spring 2019.
3. Along with operating the new facility, Tidelands Health and Encompass Health will jointly operate the rehabilitation hospital at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, S.C.
