1. Mr. Walther will start in his new role on Jan. 4, 2015.
2. He will oversee the development and delivery of Vortex’s laboratory systems as well as the diagnostics portfolio.
3. Mr. Walther has more than 20 years of experience as a diagnostics executive in the global health industry.
4. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Walther served as a consultant to the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation in Seattle.
5. He has also served as the deputy director of diagnostics for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and as the executive chairman of the Board of GenturaDx.
