Dr. Basho, a minimally invasive spine surgeon with Hannibal, Mo.-based Midwest Orthopedic Specialists, will see patients on the fourth Friday of every month, beginning Aug. 27.
Having a practice at Memorial Hospital will allow Dr. Basho to provide spine care to patients in West Central Illinois and Southeast Iowa, he told the Voice.
Patient education is also a core component of his practice. He said, “I don’t let anyone leave my office without a basic understanding of their issue and an understanding of their treatment options.”
Dr. Basho completed a fellowship in adult degenerative spinal disorders at the University of California Los Angeles in 2009 and practiced at Riverside County Regional Medical Center in Moreno Valley, Calif., before joining Midwest Orthopedic Specialists in 2012.
At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
