Missouri hospital 1st in state to install new system to treat spine, brain tumors

Mercy Hospital St. Louis was reportedly the first hospital in Missouri to implement the CyberKnife M6 system to treat spine and brain tumors.

Three things to know:

1. The CyberKnife M6 device was designed to provide precise stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiation therapy treatments.

2. The nonsurgical device tracks and automatically adjusts to movement of the tumor or patient during treatment.

3. The device is designed with a new functionality to streamline treatment plans and reduce procedure time.
