Minnesota system wraps up $1.4M orthopedic ward renovation

St. Luke’s completed a $1.4 million renovation of its orthopedic ward, according to Fox 21 KQDS.

Three things to know:

1. The Duluth, Minn.-based health system invested in larger patient rooms, improved shower accessibility and a new nurse station.

2. Room renovations include wider doors to accommodate patients with wheelchairs and walkers.

3. The renovation was intended to streamline patient flow and accelerate recovery time, orthopedic surgeon David Fogarty, MD, told Fox 21.
