Michigan hospital building $17M outpatient orthopedic surgery center

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health is developing a $17 million outpatient orthopedic surgery center that will perform around 5,000 cases annually, MiBiz reports.

The surgery center will be 15,277 square feet and will contain four operating rooms and one procedure room.

Spectrum plans to transition most of its orthopedic surgery load to the center once it is operational.

Spectrum expects to open the surgery center in 2022.
