The system held an open house Feb. 22 to introduce patients to its new orthopedic staff members. For the last five years, the system has been flying in an orthopedic surgeon once a week to provide surgical care for community members.

With the new expansion, Memorial will now staff at least one full-time medical provider. The facility will be staffed by orthopedic surgeon Darin Allred, MD, orthopedic physician assistant Bob Keel, and Sophie Baxter, a PA who specializes in wound care at the clinic.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
