Medtronic’s chief technology and innovation officer to retire

Ken Washington, PhD, chief technology and innovation officer at Medtronic, is retiring effective Nov. 14. 

Dr. Washington served as the first chief technology and innovation officer at the company, holding the role for more than two years, according to a LinkedIn post from Dr. Washington. 

He has spent more than four decades in technology and innovation throughout his career. 

Medtronic has not announced a succession plan for the position.
