Medtronic has appointed Kweli Thompson, MD, as executive vice president and president of its neuroscience portfolio, according to a May 18 report from MassDevice.
Dr. Thompson currently serves as senior vice president and president of cardiac rhythm management at Medtronic.
The company’s neuroscience portfolio includes its neuromodulation, cranial and spinal technologies, neurovascular, pelvic health and ear, nose and throat units, which generate more than $8 billion in annual revenue.
Dr. Thompson will succeed Brett Wall in the role, who will remain with the company through June 1 to assist with the transition.
