MedExpress considers at least 3 additional urgent care centers in Virginia: 4 things to know

MedExpress, an urgent care center chain based in Morgantown, W.Va., and Canonsburg, Pa., is conserving expanding into the Richmond, Va., area, according to Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Here’s what you need to know:

 

1. The chain has more than 197 locations in more than a dozen states.

 

2. MedExpress is considering at least three locations in Richmond, although details have not been finalized.

 

3. These new centers would compete with established urgent care providers in the area, such as Richmond-based offices of Patient First and BetterMed.

 

4. MedExpress already has 14 locations in Virginia.
