Maine practice gets OK for $59M center featuring spine, neurosurgery

Portland-based Maine Medical Center received approval for a $59 million investment for a new center featuring spine and neurosurgery on Nov. 4, reports Portland Press Herald.

Three things to know:

1. The 108,000-square-foot facility — operated by Portland-based Maine Medical Partners — will add exam rooms, operation rooms and physician offices.

2. The center is part of a $534 million expansion plan for MMP in Portland and Scarborough.

3. Construction will begin in fall 2020 and is set for completion in 2021.
