Louisiana university launches neuroscience research facility — 4 things to know

Tulane University in New Orleans opened the Clinical Neuroscience Research Center for patients suffering from neurological conditions, reports New Orleans City Business.

Four things to know:

1. Gregory Bix, MD, PhD, is the director of the center.

2. The new facility will discover, test and introduce new therapies for neurological conditions.

3. It will focus on stroke, dementia and traumatic brain injury.

4. Dr. Bix will begin his research group with six people, including Xiaoying Wang, MD, PhD, and Aaron Dumon, MD.
