Lehigh Valley Health Network to close acquisition of orthopedics-focused health system

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network will acquire the assets of Coordinated Health in the coming weeks after it received regulatory approval for the deal, The Morning Call reports.

Three things to know:

1. Coordinated Health, also of Allentown, Pa., is an orthopedics-focused health system featuring over 100 physicians and physical therapists at more than 20 locations across eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey.

2. LVHN consists of eight hospital campuses as well as several health centers, physician practices and ExpressCARE facilities throughout eastern Pennsylvania.

3. The Federal Trade Commission and the Pennsylvania attorney general’s office approved the terms of the deal.
