Their final decisions are not expected to be publicly announced until late June — the end of the term. After the justices vote today, one will be assigned to write a majority opinion and others will write minority opinions. Between now and June, justices will read the draft opinions and modify them as needed to garner support from other justices. A justice may be persuaded to change his or her vote after reading another justice’s draft opinion.
Justices who change their vote usually move from the minority to majority opinion, according to the report. Once the final votes are tallied, the justices announce the majority opinion.
