Johns Hopkins researchers to present on patient-reported outcomes strategies: 3 notes

Claire Snyder, PhD, and Albert Wu, MD, both of Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University, will deliver a presentation on “Users’ Guide for Integrating Patient-Reported Outcomes in Electronic Health Records: Design and Implementation Considerations.”

Here are three notes:

 

1. The presentation will take place at the International Society for Quality of Life Research Annual Conference, held from Oct. 18 to Oct. 21, in Philadelphia.

 

2. Dr. Snyder commented it is imperative to combine patient reports with clinical knowledge to manage care and boost outcomes.

 

3. The Users’ guide will expand on the roadblocks to integrating patient-reported outcomes in EHRs, such as governance, reporting results as well as ethical and legal problems.
