Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute is a leader in orthopedic care. Here are three leaders to know from the group:

Christopher Olivia, MD. CEO. Dr. Olivia became CEO of Rothman in August 2021, replacing Michael West. Dr. Olivia was previously CEO of six health-related entities and has expertise in strategic planning and business development. He received his medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and completed an ophthalmology residency at the University at Buffalo. 

Alexander Vaccaro, MD, PhD. President. Dr. Vaccaro has served as president of Rothman since 2014 and was recognized as the top-rated spine expert from 2011 to 2021. He is a prolific researcher with more than 900 peer-reviewed and 200 non-peer-reviewed publications. Under his leadership, Rothman has grown regionally and in Florida without outside capital or taking on debt.

Daryl Osbahr, MD. Managing Director and Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Rothman Florida. Dr. Osbahr was tapped to lead Rothman's Florida location in October 2020. Dr. Osbahr is a sports medicine surgeon and had fellowship training under James Andrews, MD. He has worked with multiple professional sports organizations, including as chief medical officer for the Orlando City Soccer Club.
