What MSOs are doing in 2022

    Carly Behm -

The halfway point of 2022 is around the corner, and in the first half of the year management services organizations have had new partnerships and changed leadership.

Here's what four MSOs have done so far in 2022:

    U.S. Orthopaedic Partners

USOP acquired Montgomery, Ala.-based Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons. The practice has four facilities with 10 orthopedic physicians.

USOP appointed Kevin Navas as COO and Rhonda Gibby as chief human resources officer.

USOP acquired Huntsville, Ala.-based SportsMed Orthopedic Surgery & Spine Center. SportsMed has 23 physicians and operates its own imaging centers and physical and occupational therapy facilities.

    Spire Orthopedic Partners

Spire Orthopedic Partners added Middletown, Conn.-based Middlesex Orthopedic Surgeons and Chelmsford, Mass.-based Orthopaedic Surgical Associates. The practices have a combined 21 physicians.

Spire Orthopedic Partners has partnered with Peabody, Mass.-based Sports Medicine North and its Orthopedic Surgical Center of the North Shore.

    Orthopedic Care Partners

Private equity-backed Orthopedic Care Partners in Gainesville, Fla., has affiliated with St. Louis-based Motion Orthopaedics.

Cincinnati-based management services organization OrthoAlliance inked a partnership with New Albany, Ohio-based JIS Orthopedics.
