Mayo Clinic Mankato (Minn.) began offering walk-in orthopedic and sports medicine services, KEYC News Now reported July 23.
The clinic provides services for elbow, wrist, hand, hip, foot and ankle injuries. It also has services for simple fractures and torn ligaments.
The center offers a faster and more cost-effective alternative to the emergency room for patients with non-life threatening injuries, Ryan Foley, MD, director and chair of orthopedics and sports medicine said.
Walk-in services are offered at Mayo Clinic's hospital campus in Mankato.
