Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare plans to open the Norton Neuroscience Institute at Norton Brownsboro Hospital by the end of June, WDRB.com reports.

The 48,000-square-foot facility is a $15 million investment from Norton, which also injected $950,000 into a neuroscience and primary care office in Bardstown, Ky., in April.

Norton Neuroscience Institute will house spine, neurosurgery, neurology, neuropsychology and neuro rehabilitation services. The two-story unit will accommodate patient appointments, diagnostic tests and rehab in the one location.

"We're going to be dealing with all spectrums of neurological conditions, from brain tumors and spine problems, to epilepsy or memory, stroke care, headaches," David Sun, MD, PhD, neurosurgeon and medical director of the institute, told WDRB.com. "With our new expansion, we're actually going to be able to walk the walk and talk the talk."
