Norton Healthcare will open a neuroscience and primary care office April 26 that will bolster spine services in Bardstown, Ky.

The Louisville, Ky.-based health system injected $950,000 into the building and for medical equipment.

Duane Densler, MD, a neurosurgeon with Norton Neuroscience Institute, will provide spine and neurosurgery consultations at the facility. Neurologist Jill M. Blandford, DO, will offer treatment for neurological and neuromuscular conditions.

"We've seen a significant need for more access to neurologic treatment in Bardstown," Dr. Blandford said in an April 19 news release. "By opening this new facility and expanding services, we'll be able to treat far more patients and help them access new levels of care close to home."
