OrthoNeuro opening university office to foster research, education

Practice Management

Columbus, Ohio-based OrthoNeuro is opening an office with a physical therapy clinic on the Dublin campus of Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The 7,710 square-foot facility will allow for the addition of physicians and staff to expand care access and accommodate practice growth.

"It is through close collaboration such as this, between top tier medical students and the orthopedic clinical experience that OrthoNeuro can offer, that will be invaluable for their medical education," Larry Todd Jr., DO, spine surgeon and president of OrthoNeuro, said in a Feb. 3 news release.

The Orthopedic Foundation, a charity focused on improving care quality, will also have an office in the building. The partnership will offer research opportunities that will benefit patients and students.

"Opportunities for our students to interact regularly with the on-site physicians, physical and occupational therapists, nurses and other healthcare providers will be invaluable," said Bill Burke, DO, dean of Ohio University Heritage College Dublin.

Twelve of OrthoNeuro's 29 physicians graduated from the university.

The office is expected to open in the spring of 2021.
