Here are 10 things to know about Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics in 2020:

1. Resurgens Orthopaedics named Alex Bateman as the new CEO.
2. Founding member Herschel Beker, MD, will retire at the end of the year after 30 years working at the Roswell office.
3. The practice was named a top workplace by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for the 10th year in a row.
4. It's one of the largest orthopedic practices in the U.S. with 97 physicians and surgeons as of July.
5. Three physicians were added in September.
6. The practice broke ground on a center in McDonough, Ga.
7. Resurgens Orthopaedics has more than 20 locations across the Atlanta area listed on its website.
8. Resurgens orthopedic surgeon Errol Bailey, MD, was selected to receive the Hugh McLeod III, MD, Award of Excellence from the Arthritis Foundation.
9. Raj Bhole, MD, was named board chair of Resurgens.
10. The COVID-19 pandemic caused the practice to pause surgeries and treatments. Those were resumed May 6.
