7 CEO moves at spine, orthopedic practices in 2020

Seven spine and orthopedic practices have installed new CEOs so far this year:

Wael Barsoum, MD, is leaving his post as CEO of Cleveland Clinic Florida to join HOPCo, the owner of orthopedic specialty practices including Phoenix-based the CORE Institute.

Richmond-based OrthoVirginia appointed John Phipps, MD, CEO in July.

Alex Bateman was named CEO of Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics in June, after a tenure at Addison, Texas-based United Surgical Partners International.

Dale Ingram left OrthoVirginia to become CEO of Chesterton, Ind.-based Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute in April.

In May, E.J. Ledesma became CEO of Sarasota, Fla.-based 360 Orthopedics.

Cody Barnhart in March was appointed CEO of SpineOne Spine and Sport Medical Center in Denver.

Timothy Corvino, MD, was named CEO at Orthopaedic & Neurosurgery Specialists in Greenwich, Conn., in February.
