New Jersey spine practice donates 4K+ masks to first responders

Spine surgeon Kaixuan Liu, MD, of West Orange, N.J.-based Atlantic Spine Center recently donated 4,500 masks to the South Orange Fire Department, Tap Into reports.

Three things to know:

1. SOFD distributed the masks to first responders in the community, including Livingston Fire Department and the South Orange Police Department.

2. Dr. Liu, an endoscopic spine surgeon, opened Atlantic Spine Center in 2006 after completing a fellowship at Advanced Orthopedics of South Florida in Miami.

3. He is the founding member and a board member of the International Society of Endoscopic Spine Surgery.
