United Spinal Association receives COVID-19 relief grant to help people with spinal cord injuries

The United Spinal Association received a grant from the Craig H. Nielsen Foundation to help people suffering from spinal cord injuries and disorders during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Three things to know:

1. People with spinal cord injuries are at increased risk of severe symptoms associated with COVID-19.

2. Founded in 1946, United Spinal is a nonprofit organization focusing on improving the quality of life of Americans with spinal cord injuries and disorders.

3. The Craig H. Nielsen Foundation awards grants to scientific, charitable and educational organizations conducting spinal cord injury research, training in spinal cord medicine and offering services to help those affected by spinal cord injury.
