The board of Elizabethtown, Ky.-based Hardin Memorial Health approved a $1.8 million clinic to expand orthopedic care in the community, according to The Lane Report.

The new facility will be home to Sanjiv Mehta, MD, a Louisville, Ky.-based orthopedic surgeon who specializes in joint replacement, orthopedic trauma and fracture care.

The 7,400-square-foot space will provide orthopedic and diagnostic services in one location.

The board also approved $1.1 million in funding for a new urgent care center in the region.
