Planned $240M University of Rochester facility to provide spine, orthopedic care

The University of Rochester (N.Y.) will build a $240 million orthopedics campus at The Marketplace Mall in Rochester, according to Shopping Center Business.

Four insights:

1. Spine, orthopedic and sports medicine care will be provided at The UR Medicine Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Center.

2. The ASC will feature a multistory tower above the procedure and operating rooms, featuring diagnostic imaging, exam rooms, sports medicine facilities and wellness services.

3. It will span 330,000 square feet and become UR's largest off-site facility.

4. The ASC is poised to open in 2023.
