OrthoCincy partners with health system to expand region's orthopedic care — 5 details

Independent group practice OrthoCincy Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is joining forces with Lawrenceburg, Ind.-based Highpoint Health to expand orthopedic and sports medicine services in Southeastern Indiana, The Dearborn County Register reports.

Five details:

1. Cincinnati-based OrthoCincy's team of 35 physicians and 23 physician assistants and nurse practitioners treat patients at 13 sites in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

2. OrthoCincy's Lawrenceburg office is staffed by orthopedic surgeons Ronald Auer, MD, and Brian Wissel, MD, as well as spine specialist Roman Trimba, MD.

3. Highpoint Health will leverage the Lawrenceburg physicians' expertise in surgical and nonsurgical techniques, joint replacement and resurfacing, sports medicine, and spine treatment.

4. Highpoint also expects to benefit from OrthoCincy's broad range of subspecialty care.

5. Together, the organizations will offer comprehensive care including diagnostic and imaging services, presurgical and surgical services, acute patient care, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and athletic training.
