Three orthopedic surgeons will open Cedar Valley Orthopedic Surgery in Waterloo, Iowa, on Dec. 9., Cedar Valley Business Monthly reports.

Three things to know:

1. Thomas Gorsche, MD, Robert Bartelt, MD, and Mark Gorsche, MD, are moving out of Waterloo, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital to expand orthopedic services at the new 11,000-square-foot clinic.

2. The clinic features a procedure room to enable smaller surgeries such as hand surgeries to be performed onsite, but more significant procedures requiring an anesthesiologist will be performed at Allen Hospital.

3. Two new staff will be hired to provide physical therapy and occupational rehabilitation at the center.
