M Health Fairview Medical Center at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis operated on its first patients at its new surgical suite in November, reports Minnesota Daily.

The suite features three ORs and a T-shaped movable MRI machine to enhance patient outcomes and surgery success rates.

Surgeons at the hospital performed the first neurosurgical procedure at the suite last month to remove a brain tumor.

The new suite will also be available to medical students and professionals outside of the university.
