Princeton, Ky.-based Caldwell Medical Center will open its Caldwell Medical Associates Orthopedic Clinic in early December to meet the growing needs of the community, The TimesLeader reports.

What you should know:

1. The clinic will be led by Russell Peyton, an advanced practice registered nurse.

2. The clinic will offer fracture care, splinting, casting, joint injections, pain treatments and sports medicine, among others.

3. A hospital representative said the public's response to the clinic has been positive to date, and that "they're really excited about it." It's unclear if more providers will staff the clinic in the future.
