Practice Management

Privately held medical device company Stimwave Technologies named the Advanced Spine and Pain Center of San Antonio a Stimwave Center of Excellence.

Four things to know:

1. The national program recognizes facilities that offer minimally invasive, non-opioid treatments for chronic pain patients and demonstrate clinical competence in treating patients with Stimwave's technology for treating chronic pain.

2. Stimwave developed a wireless opioid-free implant to treat chronic neuropathic pain.

3. The device treats everything from back and leg pain addressed by spinal cord stimulation to peripheral nerve stimulation that treats pain at the source, including shoulder, wrist, elbow, knee and hip pain.

4. The Advanced Spine and Pain Center of San Antonio features three locations in the city.
