5 health systems expanding spine, orthopedic services

Here are five health systems expanding spine and orthopedic services in the past month.

Camp Hill, Pa.-based Geisinger Holy Spirit is opening a new orthopedic clinic. The new 14,000-square-foot facility will feature 21 treatment rooms, two imaging suites and a hand treatment room.

Morristown, N.J.-based Altair Health opened a 16,000-square-foot ASC devoted to spine care and pain management procedures in Florham Park, N.J. Neurosurgeons from Morristown-based Atlantic NeuroSurgical Specialists selected a team of spine specialists to staff the ASC.

Sellersville, Pa.-based Grand View Health broke ground on a new orthopedic facility in Hatfield Township, Pa. The 12,000-square-foot building will be home to a Grand View orthopedics and sports medicine practice.

Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University HealthSystem opened a spine and orthopedic hospital in Skokie, Ill. The institute provides both outpatient and inpatient treatments, including joint replacement, fracture care and complex spine surgery. More than 100 NorthShore clinicians staff the institute.

Maryvville, Ill.-based Anderson Healthcare plans to expand with a new hospital in Edwardsville, Ill., providing care for spine and orthopedic conditions. The health system filed plans with the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board. The hospital could break ground in the summer of 2020 and open in the fall of 2021.
