Dayton Children's Hospital opened an after-hours orthopedic clinic on its Springboro, Ohio campus, Dayton Daily News reports.

What you should know:

1. Orthopedic specialists began staffing the clinic June 5.

2. The specialists will treat broken bones and sports injuries during the evening and on weekends.

3. The hospital opened the clinic as an alternative to emergency rooms.

4. Dayton Children's opened the clinic in an existing space.
