Oklahoma Spine Hospital to implement EHR

Practice Management

Oklahoma Spine Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla., will implement the Evident Thrive EHR technology from healthcare IT firm CPS, by the end of 2019, reports EHRintelligence.com.

Four things to know:

1. The cloud-based EHR system will replace the existing one through a software-as-a-service payment model. The hospital is implementing Evident Thrive EHR as part of an effort to streamline care delivery across its surgical facility.

2. The specialty surgical hospital began searching for a new EHR after its existing EHR vendor failed to meet the requirements of the CMS Promoting Interoperability Program, which demands that providers use 2015 edition certified EHR technology starting this year.

3. The Evident Thrive EHR solution will enable the center to achieve internal and external interoperability with both in-network and out-of-network providers.

4. CPSI will offer three new comprehensive patient engagement and empowerment solutions to its users after its $11 million acquisition of patient engagement solutions vendor Get Real Health last month.
