Danville, Va.-based Sovah Health opened an inpatient joint and orthopedics unit in Martinsville, Va., the Martinsville Bulletin reports.
The 10-bed unit on the second floor of the Martinsville location opened Feb. 19. The unit is staffed by orthopedic nurses and will primarily serve patients enrolled in Sovah Health's total joint replacement program Race to Relief.
Sovah Health is a regional healthcare delivery system serving the piedmont region of Southern Virginia and Northern North Carolina. The healthcare system has two emergency rooms, two outpatient imaging centers and more than 20 physician clinics.
