Knoxville (Tenn.) Orthopaedic Clinic expanded its outpatient surgery center by adding two operating rooms.

What you should know:

1. The surgery center now has eight operating rooms.

2. The group added the new ORs to accommodate total joint replacement surgeries.

3. KOC orthopedic surgeon Herman Botero, DO, said, "We really needed to expand because so many of our patients prefer an outpatient setting. We have everything we need right here on site, and we’re able to see results that meet our high standards of care."
