Kansas medical center to launch new orthopedic center, robotic technology: 3 details

Hutchinson (Kan.) Regional Medical Center is planning to open a new orthopedic facility, according to The Hutchinson News.

Three details:

1. The new center will feature a Stryker Mako robot to assist with hip and knee surgeries. The hospital will begin using the Mako robot in March.

2. Hutchinson Regional Medical Center will house the new orthopedic unit on the hospital's third floor. Renovations of the 18-room ward are expected to be complete in August.

3. The new facility will include exercise equipment and a gymnasium for physical therapy patients postoperatively.
