Orthopedic Institute & CORE Orthopedics integrate practices: 3 things to know

Practice Management

The Orthopedic Institute and CORE Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, both based in Sioux Falls, S.D., partnered to combine practices, effective Jan. 1.

Three things to know:

1. The new integrated practice will provide musculoskeletal care services, including orthopedic urgent care, sports performance and injury prevention as well as physical and hand therapy.

2. "Our teams will assemble the largest independent group of professionals dedicated to providing orthopedic care in the region," said CORE Orthopedics President David Watts, MD. "This protects patients' freedom to choose their provider regardless of payer, without a referral and in a timely manner."

3. The joint practice provides orthopedic care to regions across South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa.
