Irving, Calif.-based Hoag Orthopedic Institute partnered with Costa Mesa, Calif.-based ProSport Physical Therapy & Performance.
Four things to know:
1. Per the agreement, HOI will make an equity investment and assume a board position board position in ProSport.
2. HOI partnered with ProSport to expand its sports medicine care services and improve orthopedic care coordination between surgery and rehabilitation.
3. ProSport operates three physical therapy and performance centers in the Orange County, Calif., area.
4. HOI is the largest provider of joint replacement surgery in California. The practice has over 300 physicians on staff, with more than 80 orthopedists. It is the official medical partner for the Los Angeles Chargers.
