Kentucky orthopedic group, hospital launch joint replacement program: 4 notes

Evansville, Ind.-based Orthopaedic Associates and Methodist Hospital in Hendersonville, Ky., will launch a new orthopedic department and joint replacement program at the hospital in January.

Here are four notes:

1. Orthopaedic Associates and Methodist Hospital established a partnership in August for Orthopaedic Associates surgeons to perform procedures at the hospital.

2. The new orthopedic unit will feature 10 private rooms for patients undergoing knee and hip replacement surgery.

3. Surgeries are expected to begin Jan. 15.

4. Orthopaedic Associates' specialty areas include joint replacement, sports medicine and orthopedic trauma.
