The CORE Institute opens expanded Mesa location: 4 key points

Practice Management

Phoenix-based The CORE Institute opened a new facility in Mesa, Ariz., expanding it's presence in the city, according to AZ Business Magazine.

Here are four things to know:

1. The CORE Institute launched in 2005 with the mission of providing excellence in orthopedic care to its patients. The organization has grown rapidly since then, adding several locations in Arizona and Michigan as well as partnering with Banner Health, based in Phoenix.

2. The practice first opened a clinic in Mesa five years ago, and its new facility includes 2,000 additional square feet of space. The recently opened clinic includes all orthopedic specialties and adds six exam rooms.

3. There are several factors driving growth in the Mesa area, including an expanding population and an aging population. "On the heels of opening our first Scottsdale facility last month, we are committed to meeting the increasing demand for our services and providing residents access to the highest level of integrated orthopedic care," said Vice Chairman Jason Scalise, MD, to AZ Business Magazine.

4. In all, The CORE Institute has 19 orthopedic facilities.
